Comparative Analysis of CSTR Concentration Control Using Different Soft Computing Techniques

This paper presents a comparative study of Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor concentration control using Particle Swam Optimization and Bacterial Forging Optimization. Continuous stirred tank reactor plays a very important role in process industry. This paper presents the optimal design of PID controller based on Particle Swarm Optimization and Bacterial Forging Optimization. The first step is the introduction of mathematical model of isothermal Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor control. Mathematical model is obtained from mass and heat balances inside the reactor. Time domain analysis will show the performance of different controllers and it is noticed that these soft computing techniques i.e. PSO and BFO give better results than conventional methods.
